Springburn Garden Allotments grant update

In late 2024, the Incorporation provided a grant of £1,000 to Springburn Garden Allotments, to fund a project aimed at rejuvenating a derelict courtyard area to create planting areas and micro-growing spaces, providing a space that could be used by the wider community, including people who wanted to be involved in gardening without taking on a whole allotment plot.

The work has been completed and Springburn Garden Allotments have shared before and after photos with us, commenting “The transformation has been excellent. The grant we received from the Incorporation of Gardeners allowed us to buy materials to take the courtyard garden project forward, with all labour having been provided by volunteers drawn from our membership”.
